League of Legends: Wild Rift is probably currently one of the best MOBA games in various parts of the world, it is also a fun game to play casually.

Meanwhile, many gamers are trying to become pro or competitive players. Of course it’s not an easy thing to compete with other players, especially if the account ranking is already high and you will be competing with players who may be better.

Well, in this article we will discuss how the ranking system works and some things you should know before playing LoL: Wild Rift. Like the various rankings in the game, to the rules that apply. For those of you who can’t wait, let’s just take a look below.

What Ranks Are in League of Legends: Wild Rift?

There are a total of 10 rankings in League of Legends: Wild Rift and you can start playing in ranked mode once you reach Level 10.

Here are all the ranking levels in Wild Rift:

  • Iron
  • Bronze
  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Platinum
  • Emerald
  • Diamonds
  • Master
  • Grand Master
  • Challenger

The PC version of League of Legends players may be familiar with this list, except for Emerald.

We’ve added Emerald, a new rank between Platinum and Diamond, so we can distribute players more accurately at this skill level,” said Ed Knapp, Senior Game Designer.

Ranks Iron to Emerald have four divisions in them, so you must advance through the divisions of each rank first before advancing to the next rank.

Rank Mark

When you win a match, you will get something familiar, namely a rank mark or Ranked Mark.

You need some ranked marks to advance to the next level. However, after getting this mark, you can also lose the mark if you lose the game.

You can be downgraded if you lose too many Ranked Marks. It’s also important to remember that the rank you’ve achieved so far will drop after the season ends.

As we know that each division requires a different amount of Marks to rank up, where lower ranks require less Marks.

As for the Silver rank, players need three Marks to advance to the next rank, and for Gold, players need four Marks. For details, you can see below.

  • Iron (IV, III, II, I): Requires 2 Marks in each division to rank up
  • Bronze (IV, III, II, I): Requires 3 Marks in each division to rank up
  • Silver (IV, III, II, I): Requires 3 Marks in each division to rank up
  • Gold (IV, III, II, I): Requires 4 Marks in each division to rank up
  • Platinum (IV, III, II, I): Requires 4 Marks in each division to rank up
  • Emerald (IV, III, II, I): Requires 5 Marks in each division to rank up

Additional information: Rank Mark may decrease if you are not actively playing.

Promotion Series

If you want to be promoted to the next rank, and not between divisions, then you have to get so many wins compared to losses during the promotion series.

This is similar to League of Legends PC, where you have three matches to play to determine whether to get promoted to another division or keep your current division. Here are the details:

Iron – Brinze: 2 wins = rank up / 3 loses = stays at current rank
Silver – Diamond: 3 wins = rank up / 3 loses = stay in current rank
Master – Challenger: No promotion required

If you succeed and advance in rank, you will be given one Rank Mark to start with, as well as protection from being relegated to the previous rank. However, if you lose, then you will remain at your current rank and remove two Rank Marks.

Once you enter the Diamond, Master, Grandmaster, and Challenger ranks, it will switch from Rank Marks to Victory Points. You will need 100 Victory Points to move up the division in Diamond, but these points will be removed over time if you are not actively playing.

We enter the discussion of Victory Point in the Wild Rift game, where players who reach Diamond rank and above will adopt a system that is more similar to the PC version of LoL.

Players will get Victory Points (VP) which is almost similar to League Points (LP). The amount of VP gained or lost is determined by many factors, including the skill level shown during the match.

  • Diamond: Requires 100 VP in each division to rank up
  • Master
  • Grand Master
  • Challenger

Wild Rift introduces a system called “Ranked Fortitude”, a system in the form of a “bar”, which is located directly below the player’s rank badge.

Fotitude points themselves can be obtained through the results of winning or losing matches, but through various aspects, including playing skills.

Fortitude points are earned by maintaining a “winstreak” winning streak, playing performance, and continuing the game when a teammate is AFK.

The better and more honorable you play, the faster you fill the Fortitude bar,” explains Riot Games.

When the Fortitude bar is full, even half, it will automatically be used after the player has lost in Ranked mode to avoid decreasing Ranked Marks.

Meanwhile, if you manage to win the match when the Fortitude bar is full, it will give you two Ranked Marks.

Every season, rewards will be given to players based on your last rank or your current rank. As the season progresses, a border will appear around your icon and loading screen to show where you stand.

You should check the official Wild Rift page to find out the prizes that will be obtained later.
